Most of the time when we think of adoption or adoptees we quickly think or imagine what that person must have gone through to some capacity. People generally feel bad for adoptees because we were "given up". I do not believe any adoptee wants someone to feel pity for them; however, it is comforting to know that people recognize that there is pain associated with being an adoptee.
With the many groups on Facebook associated with adoption or formed specifically for adoptees, I have come across a group titled, "Adoptees Turning to God". As many adoptees in the group mentioned, it is great to find a positive group for adoptees to turn to God to heal and pray for one another. The focus of this group in my eyes is to bring understanding of our purpose on Earth and remind us that God has a reason for everything. We were never forgotten in God's eyes. He has always protected us.
Currently I am only a part of 2 groups of the many that are on Facebook. I was invited to this group by another member. I am elated to be surrounded by a group of positive adoptees working to transition through their journey as God writes their story.
If you are an Adoptee that believes in God or wants to experience the healing power of God an adoption. Please leave a comment and be sure to have a Facebook account. May you be blessed family.
