Hello

I know it has been a long time since I have blogged or shared any news about my adoption journey. My goal when beginning this blog was to keep it as authentic as possible. Meaning sharing ALL of my thoughts, issues, family matters, etc. as an adoptee. However, as my journey unfolds especially after my family finding me, there are some things that I believe have to be kept private for my personal sake till I heal, and for my protection due to events that have recently occurred in Puerto Rico where my biological family lives. I do promise however, to one day share it all when the time is right because I think it is important for those in the adoption community to understand what adoptees endure. I also think by sharing my journey, I am helping other adoptees cope. Let's face it, we all need to feel like someone understands us. And of course since adoption is such a big secret, it's rarely talked about or shared about. Therefore, that is why I do what I do. I thank you all that have continuously been reading my blog and leaving comments in my absence. I thank you all for emailing me inquiring where I have been and why I have not been writing. You all inspire me and remind that the journey has to go on even when we are weak. I find myself stronger when I am behind my computer sharing with my readers. To know I am helping a member of the adoption community reminds that I have to be strong for someone else. 

P.S Thank you all that have prayed for my mom since she has been in the hospital. After my mom was able to speak again, she shared so much about my adoption and hers that I would love to share with you. Please stay tuned as I begin to write again...
